Is it really a dog?

Sasha here.  We gots a new addition to the family here yesterday.  Grandma gave grandpa a pom puppy for his birthday (a little early) in September.  I think the humans named it "BEAR NO!!!"  Cause, that is what they seem to call it the most. heehee. 

I didn't know it was a dog at first.  He kind of looks like a guinea pig to me.  (Sorry piggies) But, he is just a ball of fluff with sharp teeth.  He doesn't even bark or run yet.  But, boy can he bite hard. I hasn't let him catch me yet.  But, Charlie got nipped on his butt today and went running to Mommy to save him.  Charlie doesn't like the new puppy.  He says he has raised two puppies already and he isn't about to be a chew toy for a third.  I kind of figures as long as the fluff ball doesn't catch me I don't mind playing withs it.  Charlie says just waits a few weeks.  Not sure what that means, but all I knows know is I don't like sharing my Mommy with him.  He has a Grandpa daddy and doesn't need my mommy, too. 

Well's both Charlie and I's has been feeling left out a bit when we can't play with the puppy's toys so Mommy bought us new Bobos.  We had it limbless in about 20 minutes time.  heehee.

Also, Mommy got a couple of late birthday cards.  Miss Sue Ann and her gang from SamsFurKids  and Miss Diana and her gang from StylinDogsBoutique.  Diana made Mommy and me a purple doxie bookmark.  It is so pretty.  I mights have to swipe it for my A Dachshund's Guide To Taking Over The Universe.  Mommy says thank you two for thinking of her birthday and all.

So I guess I am a big doxie sister of a fluff ball.  I must teach this pup a few things.  First, how to pout when you get in trouble.  (I am thinking this will be priority number one cause he sure is in trouble a lot.) Second, squirrel pawtrols  should be easy for him since he is already got a good disguise for surveillance with the fluff ball thing going for him.

Well, I is off to whisper, you must hate squirrels while he sleeps.  Night all.

Mommy Got A Birthday Prezzie

Hi alls Sasha here.  Mommy got a belated birthday prezzie from Miss Alice of makingstuffwithlove.  She got a package with a doxie purse and a cute little note pad.  She loved it so much she asked me to blog abouts it.  Cause you know she is always busy with great grandma these days.  I said I would blogs about it.  I guess it helps me earn my kibbles a bit.  heehee.  So here is the pics of the doxie purse Miss Alice made for Mommy.

Here is me asking Mommy could I have a doxie purse like this one for my birthday.  And Charlie is asking does she make man bags for muttly men.

After we secured that the doxie bag was in fact invisible squirrel free, we decided to go back to sleep.

This is a picture of the notepad and yes Mommy and me both noticed it was purple.  You know about purple being the color for dachshund rescue right?  I do believes I has mentioned it before.

This is me noticing the big black Sasha dachshund had disappeared while we snoozed.  But, then mommy showed me that it was just the back of the bag.  I do likes it and so does Mommy.  Thank you Miss Alice for making this awesome pawsome purse for my Mommy. 

Prezzie For Mommy and Mes From PJ Team.

Sasha here.  Sorry, I have been gone away so long.  Mommy and mes has been busy taking care of great grandma.  Oh, my Mommy and I gots the biggest surprise ever today.  We had just come up from a couple hours nap before the night shift when we saw a big box on the table for us.  I smelled good things coming from that box.  I couldn't wait to see what was insides it.

The box we thought was from Sean, but turns out it was from the whole petsjubilee team on Etsy.  It was a care package for us.  Here are a few of the goodies we got.

First up, I spyied a squirrel toy in the box.  You knows I wanted that right away.  Charlie and I had a bit of mixed words on how to handle this new toy.  I pawsonly wanted to dismember the squirrel starting with the ears and feet.  Charlie just wanted to squeak it and have someone throw it for him.  The team knew I had been missing my squirrel pawtrol duties and sent me my very own training squirrel.  But, mommy made me share with Charlie and wouldn't let me tare it up in the first five minutes I had it.  So I pouted a bit about that.  But, then, I gots my fun with it.  You know those limbs are really hard to rib off.  I haven't destuffed it yet.  I wonders if I is getting rusty on my squirrel hunting skills.  :(

While we puppers were busy with the squirrel destuffing, Mommy looked at all the treats.  Nice healthy snacks to keeps her awakes at night.  Most of which I could eats, too  (hint hints to mommy) except for the deadly trail mix.  Mommy says no to the raisens and chocolate for us doggies on that. 

Then, there was the DVD's.  You knows mommy and me will be watching these in the wee hours of the morning. heehee.

Then, there was sci-fi books, too.  I wonder if there is a mutant doxie that tries to take over the world in one of these.

Lastly, we can not forget this cute card with the special heart warming message inside.

Thank you alls from Mommy and Mes and Charlie, too.  Doxie kisses from me to Annie, Teri, Kay, Sean, Patty, Sandra, Sue Ann, Diana, Alice, Tammy, Pauline, Solange, Shari, Sue, Eva, and the rest of the PJ team for being there through our ups and downs right now.  Mommy doesn't think she could have done it without all of you for support.  This little care package means a lot to us.  :)

Now, I gots to get back to destuffing that squirrel.  Charlie it's my turn now.......!

Mommy Got A Prezzie Today!

Miss Suz from RedWagonWieners surprized Mommy today,  She had Mommy meet her out in her truck.  Mommy got in and Miss Suz had a special prezzie just for Mommy.  It was a new purse.  But, not just any purse, but a dachshund purse.  A doxie purse from BeInkedDesigns on etsy.  The dachshund purse is listed here:  http://www.etsy.com/listing/93280741/3d-dachshund-felt-ipadhip-bagpurse-made

The front had this cute doxie black and tan head on it with a snap closure.  There is a little pocket, too. This doxie looks a bit familiar I think.  :)

The inside was lined with this cute spotted fabric. But, of course, the cherry on top of this doxie purse prezzie was on the back. 

This purse had a cute little doxie tushie.  Now, that is a special doxie purse.  The Doxie head and butt makes this the cutest purse bag ever.

First thing I did was I hads to sniff it out you know.  Make sure there be no squirrel secret weapons or anything like that.  (And yes, I sniffed the butt side, too.)

I approves it with a four doxie paws up and a doxie sulute.  Now, I am just trying to figure out which doxie that this purse looks like. 

What you thinks it looks like me?  Naw, I thinks it is much cuter than little old me.  Thank you, Miss Suz.  Mommy and me loves it so very much. Now, I will just go clean out mommy's old purse so we can use this one now.  I think she might have some sweet kibbles (AKA candy) in one of the pockets still......

It's My Birthday! I Is Five Years Old.

Hi all. Sasha here.  It is my birthday today. I had the bestest day (except for the rain).  Lets me tells you all about it.

First, Mommy got ups early today so I got my breakfast a bit early.  No big deal for me.  I like breakfast early.  Then, I gots some bites boiled egg (cause apparently I is on a diet so no b-day cake this year).  I really liked the boiled egg bites.   I wished I could have had the whole egg, but no Mommy says I can't get any plumper than I is already.  Really, I is in good senior doxie shape.  Apparently, I am in the senior years now according to my vet.  Don't feels it yet myself.  All I can see is a wee bit of frosting (white hairs) around my muzzle.  

Well, anyways, after the treats, Mommy let me open my prezzies.  I gots a new red toothie brush and beef flavored toothie paste for dogs.  This one came in a squeeze tube instead of the pump poultry flavored I had before with the collie on it.  I can't waits to try it out at bed time tonight.  Then, I gots a prezzie and I already knew what was in it from the way it smelled.  I knows the smell of new squeakies anywhere.

 Mommy opened it for me and gave me my hubby stuffed birthday bone and Charlie got one, too.  Cause he doesn't gets the whole birthday thingy.  He just knows he wants a new squeakie, too.  But, I got my own new bandanna that makes me special on my birthday.  The bones and bandanna where from Miss Diana from the StylinDogsBoutique on etsy.  I also got a cute birthday card and paw print sticker decals.  Not quite sure what I will do with those yet, but I knows I will use them.  Franks A Lot,  Miss Diana and Super Stuffer (I knows you stuffed the bones) for my new birthday bone.

Then, after some play time with my new squeakie bone, Mommy and me had a nap.  We snuggled under my favorite butterfly blankie.  It was pawfect.

She gave me a rain check on the birthday walkie.  Cause of all the rain, neither one of us wanted to go for a walk today.  But, you knows I will hold her to the promise of a birthday walkie on the first good day we have.

Well, that has been my day so fars.  Here is some pictures of my new bone and Charlie and his bone.  You can see the bandanna in some of these pictures, too.  Bark at you all later.  I wonder if I can get a bite of cheese with my dinner kibble tonight.....

Another Prezzie In The Mail Yesterday

Hi all.  It is me Sasha.  I was hanging with the two human pups my mommy watches when a package came in the mail yesterday.  You knows I is beginning to think all these packages must belong to me. heehee.  But, this one was a prezzie for Mommy.  Unless, I gets my way that is. heeheee.

This prezzie was a little wiener dog basket that Miss Tammy from happydapperdogs sent us.  Also, she sent us a beary cute card. 

Mommy and me loves the prezzie and the card Miss Tammy.  Thank you so very much for thinking of us in such a special way. 

You know all these prezzies lately is making Mommy and me feel so special.  They really make our day. 

Now, I just has to bark Mommy into letting me use the basket for my Top Secret Squirrel Ops.

New Blankie Prezzie I gots In The Mail

Sasha here.  I just got the bestest prezzie in the mail today.  This nice lady on Etsy, Miss Yvette, mades me (and I is suppose to share with Mommy) a new warm and cozy snuggle blankie.  She has a shop called CutnTiedbyRedYvette on Etsy.  

The blankie is so warm and I just loves it.  It has lots of pretty butterflies all over it and it is mostly purple (which you all knows is the traditional color of dachshund rescue)!   I hads to try it out you knows before Mommy cause I hads to make sure no one was smuggling squirrel contraband into the house. heehee.  Well, anyways, I gots so warm and comfy that I forgot all about telling Miss Yvette how much I likes it.  I sleeps for quite awhile ins it already.  Well, thank you Miss Yvette from me and Mommy.  I is sending you lots of doxie thank you kisses right now.

Oh, and forgots to mention there was a cute note pad wrapped up inside it, too.  Mommy says franks a lot for that note pad and a card, too.  She thoughts they were both very cute. 

Well, Mommy took lots of pics of me enjoying my (I mean um our) new prezzie so I thought I would show some of thems to you all. 

 I gives four paws up for this blankie.  Any hound who is cold and needs a comfy place to lay their furry body needs one of these fur sure.  I guess it would be good for peeps, too.  (But, we all know us hounds are blankie hogs. heehee)

Now, I thinks I will take Mommy and go snuggle in my (um our) new blankie some more.  You comeings Mommy?  Bark at you all later.
