Squirrel Pawtrol Training Continues

Sasha here.  Been training Bear in paw to paw combat and other necessary skills for the squirrel pawtrol.  Working on sending messages to Mommy on how to get him a proper uniform harness to keep the big bad birdies from thinking he is a bunny and pawhaps scaring squirrels away too if we are lucky.  Not sure she has got the message yet via mind control though.

Here is some recent photos of our training sessions.

Here I is pawtending I is a stupid squirrel with my back turned.  You can see Bear is ready for a single pawed attack.

Here I is demonstrating pawper hind paw placement for balance while being pounced upon.  I can not be moved by a Bear or squirrel.

Here yous can see that Bear has mastered the "Yep, I Is Bigger Than You!" stance.

This is Bear's big dog growl and snarl.  He needs some work on this still.

This is me showing him how the big dog growl snarl is really done.  You can sees Bear is observing quite studiously.

Well, that is all for todays folks.  Stay tuned for future Bear training photos.  I is going to make this fluffy one a good squirrel pawtrol canine agent if it kills me.

Bear In Training

Hi all.  Things has been going well since my paw has been all healed up.  Charlie and I has managed to stop the squirrels from taking over of what is remaining of our garden.  Apparently, they don't like green tomatoes being tossed their way. heehee.  Mommy often wonders how come the lawn is full of little green tomatoes, but we never let her see us aiming them at the nasty squirrels.

Bear, the new puppy, is still in training.  He does learn fast, but he just doesn't have the stickedittoitness that us doxies have.  Seriously, he rather chase the tomatoes and leaves falling than the squirrels.  But, we are working with him.

This is Bear after capturing his first Bobo in our bobo capturing game similar to your human's capture the flag.  You can see he is really proud of himself.

This is one of our training techniques catching a bobo in the air.  Great for learning squirrel pawtrol airborne pawnewvers later.

This is me as drill doxie instructing him to go to silent stalking mode.  Apparently, he has a hard time controlling his yapper.

You can't deny the importance of classical dancing lessons to help steady a young pups pawwork.

All this Bear training makes me, drill doxie Sasha, a very tired wiener dog.

Dachshund Bed Making Part Two

Hi all, sorry that I didn't post yesterday the finale of the bed making experience.  The evil squirrel empire attacked mommy's printer and it didn't make it.  That is a long story, but for another day.
The above photo shows me just finishing getting that fitted sheet on after my nap.  I then got my pillow fort and put back on the bed.  You know I wanted to put them at the end of the bed, but Mommy said no.  She needs to be able to reach her noisy breakfast time announcer (A.K.A. alarm clock).

Then, I wrestled on the top sheet, and of course it really is hard to do with my doxie shaped lump in the middle of the bed.  I guess Mommy was right about that all these times she has made the bed by herself. heehee.

Now where did the big fluffy, heavy, comforter that takes 3 runs in the dryer go?

I founds it.  Oh, and it is so warm.  You knows I think this calls for another little nap.

After that nap, I finished up with this doxie bed making service with a bonus turn down the sheets service with squeakies on the pillows. I thought it looked just like what those celebrity fancy poochie posh 5 paws canine hotels do.

About this time, it was bedtime, and mommy couldn't find Charlie and me.  She came down stairs to the sound of snoring and two big lumps under the new made bed.  She pulled back the covers and my cloud blanky to see this.

Doxie bed making service complete with two sound asleep lumps.  heehee.

My play date yesterday.

Sasha, the blogging doxie, here as usual. First of all, you all had great ideas of what I was thinking in my last post. They made me and mommy BOL and LOL. However, what I was really thinking was "Watch where you are putting that measuring snake cause it tickles!" Mommy was measuring me all over with this twisty curly snake thing and writing down numbers. Not sure what that was all about. But, I sure hope it doesn't have to do with fattening up a sausage for grilling if you know what I mean.
I had a play date yesterday with Zuke and Frito. It was really cool cause we just sat around while the humans watched a movie, barked a lot, and played keep away with the squeaky toys. Zuke was still itchy with his allergies so he has to wear this shirt to keep the grass off his tender belly. Poor guy. He really hates it. Well, mommy wants the computer to work on some new items so I best be off. Bark at you all later.

After BBQ Blog

It is way too early for fall. Please, Red Fairy stop!!

Sasha here. It has been quite a lot of BBQing going on here, and yes no wienies were roasted. Thank goodness. We had my wienie buddies over, my cousin Maddie, and my grandpa's boss' dog. It was really hard being little miss hostess to all those doggies, but I managed.
Today I was out sniffing in my yard and I thinks the red fairy (The one in charge of making plants red.) is getting a little out of control. Look at the pics and see what you think. Well, I'll barks at you all later.

Maddie Is Back! Help me!

Sasha here. My cousin Maddie came to spend the weekend with us. I thinks I need the Nobel Peace Prize for dealing with this Chihuahua Warrior Princess. Just check out the pics and tell me if I can be any nicer. I even put up with the Hollywood Chihuahua movie even though a dachshund was only in it for like 3.8 seconds. She growled when I wanted mommy to rewind it so I could see the wiener on the tread mill again. So of course we kept watching the movie. Mommy even let us have kibbles on the couch while we watched which like never happens. When I was into the movie and just was quickly reaching over to lick a missed kibble off the couch, I nearly got my nose nipped. Well, at least I can vent to my blog buddies. Yap at you all later.

I got mail yesterday!

Haven't been on cause Mommy has been so busy lately. She has been painting up a storm which has allowed me time to work on my cute little doxie photo expressions. heehee.
Well, I think she is done painting for a bit cause yesterday she was back to taking pics of me in the backyard. Something about Christmas cards or some such silly human thing.
But, the best part of yesterday was when I got another hubby stuffed bone from StylinDogsBoutique on etsy. I so generously gave Charlie my old one and headed strait into chewing when Charlie was under the mistaken idea that the new bone was for him. How silly is that. Really, everyone knows the dachshund is the one that gets all the prezzies that come in the mail right? Well, after some interesting discussion, a few zoomies, and me hiding the bone under me for quite some time. Charlie realized the old bone was his, and he proceeded to work out his frustrations on the poor toy. Enjoy the pics. Your furry friend, Sasha.
