Bear's First B-Word (Bath)

Sasha here.  Training has been going pretty well lately.  Bear is right on schedule in fact.  Since all of our training has left the pup rather on the dirty side.  The humans decided it was time to indogternate him with his first b-word (Bath).  Of course, Charlie and mes went to hiding just in case the humans had plans for us getting a b-word, too.  But, we escaped this time.  Apparently, they were all tuckered out after giving Bear his. heehee.

Well, here is our young recruit getting his first b-word.  He did really well no whining or yapping.  He was kind of making us look bad for a while.  But, then the big hot air monster came out and boy did he carry on.  Charlie and I gave each other low paw fives for that one.  We did have to chuckle at how the tough little pup didn't like the hot air monster at all. But, he survived like we told him he woulds.

Here are the pics of the yucky first b-word of Bear.

Here is him all fluffy again after the hot air monster.  You know I would never have guessed he was half a dog smaller when wet. heehee.

Times to gets dirty again with more squirrel pawtrol training sessions Bear.

How to punish your human for the B-word.

OK. Most folks know my human has a nasty habit of giving me the B-word (bath). I got one today and I didn't really need it. She said it was because I was going to the vet tomorrow for my shots. Really, vets have smelled dogs before and I am sure my aroma wasn't near as pungent as others. But, anyways, I think it was time to teach her a lesson since the shaking and completely soaking her and the bathroom with wet dog hair wasn't working. This is what I did and please, dogs out there feel free to use this technique to keep these humans from bathing us for no decent reason.

1.) After the bath, turn your back on the human that gave it to you.

2.) Give the human a brief glance and then turn your head and shut your eyes. As if to say, "Nope, still mad at you. I can't even look at you right now."

3.) After a period of time, turn to face them, but don't look them in the eye. This really lays on the guilt. Trust me on this one.

4.) After another wee bit of time, roll around on the carpet having the time of your life. It serves multiple purposes. One, it gets that arful doggy shampoo smell off. Plus, it helps get some of the remaining water, and it shows the human you can have a good time without her.

5.) When the human makes an attempt to join in on play, freeze. And don't play with her even if she sneaks in with a foot rub.

At this point the human usually takes a time out in another room, that is when you come in for her emotional weak spot.

6.) I forgives you now. Can I have some cheese, please!

Not The B- Word!!

Sasha here. My big brother Charlie has been so itchy lately that he started to chew on himself. So the humans decided to take him and ME to the groomers for a BATH! I kept telling Mommy no not me just Charlie . But, she didn't listen. Not only did I gets a bath, but my toys and blankies got a bath while we were gone. We got back and no toys, no blankies, and no going outside to roll in the grass. Mommy felt so bad for our sad little faces that she showed us what she bought while we were out. She said that they should hold us until our toys and blankies were dry. Charlie got a new hot dog squeakie and I gots a fleecy people shaped squeakie. We squeaked for a bit, and then I missed my old toys. I had to wait furever to get them back. Then, I was so mad that it took so long and all the toys smelt funny now that I decided to play with my new one instead.

I avoided the B- word today.

Hello all,
Sasha, the ever so cute wiener dog, is here. Today's big news I avoided the nasty B-word (BATH) because it was raining or so mommy thinks. heehee. I put in my doxie mind control with my hound dog eyes to tell her that it was way to cold a day to make me get wet on purpose. Besides, I was getting enough of a shower each time mommy made me go outside in the rain to potty.
Well, since it was a good day for me, I thought I would share with you all one of our Halloween thank you pics mommy uses in her etsy feedback. I make a very cute doxie ghost don't you think? Feel free to use it if you want in your shops feedback, as well. Just right click the picture and I think click "save picture as" to a file on your computer. It would be perfect for those doggy or hallowienie related shops out there. Well, best be off. I am hoping for more rain tomorrow so I won't have to get a bath tomorrow either. Keep your paws crossed for me, please.
