Prezzie For Mommy and Mes From PJ Team.

Sasha here.  Sorry, I have been gone away so long.  Mommy and mes has been busy taking care of great grandma.  Oh, my Mommy and I gots the biggest surprise ever today.  We had just come up from a couple hours nap before the night shift when we saw a big box on the table for us.  I smelled good things coming from that box.  I couldn't wait to see what was insides it.

The box we thought was from Sean, but turns out it was from the whole petsjubilee team on Etsy.  It was a care package for us.  Here are a few of the goodies we got.

First up, I spyied a squirrel toy in the box.  You knows I wanted that right away.  Charlie and I had a bit of mixed words on how to handle this new toy.  I pawsonly wanted to dismember the squirrel starting with the ears and feet.  Charlie just wanted to squeak it and have someone throw it for him.  The team knew I had been missing my squirrel pawtrol duties and sent me my very own training squirrel.  But, mommy made me share with Charlie and wouldn't let me tare it up in the first five minutes I had it.  So I pouted a bit about that.  But, then, I gots my fun with it.  You know those limbs are really hard to rib off.  I haven't destuffed it yet.  I wonders if I is getting rusty on my squirrel hunting skills.  :(

While we puppers were busy with the squirrel destuffing, Mommy looked at all the treats.  Nice healthy snacks to keeps her awakes at night.  Most of which I could eats, too  (hint hints to mommy) except for the deadly trail mix.  Mommy says no to the raisens and chocolate for us doggies on that.

Then, there was the DVD's.  You knows mommy and me will be watching these in the wee hours of the morning. heehee.

Then, there was sci-fi books, too.  I wonder if there is a mutant doxie that tries to take over the world in one of these.

Lastly, we can not forget this cute card with the special heart warming message inside.

Thank you alls from Mommy and Mes and Charlie, too.  Doxie kisses from me to Annie, Teri, Kay, Sean, Patty, Sandra, Sue Ann, Diana, Alice, Tammy, Pauline, Solange, Shari, Sue, Eva, and the rest of the PJ team for being there through our ups and downs right now.  Mommy doesn't think she could have done it without all of you for support.  This little care package means a lot to us.  :)

Now, I gots to get back to destuffing that squirrel.  Charlie it's my turn now.......!

Petsjubilee Sample Box

Hi all.  As promised, here is the blog all about my petsjubilee team sample box that we won from the Thanksgiving All About Food petsjubilee blog photo/video contest.  Charlie and me did a video of us eating our dinner and we won.  Easy contest for us chow hounds you know.  But, it came just a few days before Christmas and you know mommy couldn't hide it from us after we saw it.  We know what comes in that little square box.  Treats and prezzies!!

Here is me peeking inside the box and staring down Charlie.  Just so he knows the princess gets the best picks from the box.

Oh my!  Treats, a new squeakie, bandannas, and did I mention treats.....

See Charlie this bandanna will match my pink sweater and the treats are from our favorite treat shop CiaoHound and not seeing much in heres for you though.

I think I  see something long and blue for Mommy.  But, you know it would look arfully cute pinned to my pink sweater Mommy.

And another pink bandanna for me.  Oh, and a bookmark for my wiener dog book collection.....

At first I thought this was a treat pocket to attach to my collar, but Grandma claimed it as a mini pot holder.  I won't mind if she cooks me something good you know.

At last a new squeakie all for me.  Sorry, Charlie, not much in the box for you. What Mommy?  I have to share?  Aww, ok, but I get the first turn at the squeaky and treats.  Charlie gets the first turn at the pink bandannas. heehee.

Thank you Miss Shari and all my petsjubilee team peeps.  Mommy, Grandma, Me, and even Charlie enjoyed it all.  :)

We got new squeakies!

Mommy won a game that Miss Diana (from StylinDogsBoutique) did on the Petsjubilee Blog. So we picked a couple small squeakies as our prize and they came today. We played with them down in the basement cause it was way too hot to play upstairs. Mommy got a birthday prezzie from Miss Diana, too. A cute little red doxie sculpture. She loves it and will put it in her dachshund collection. Here is a slide show of what we got:

Blog Tag- Patty!

Sasha here. Hi. Mommy and me were tagged on someone else's blog in a new game we are playing. So I thinks we are suppose to tag someone else and pawmote them. I hopes I is doing it right. Mommy said I could pick the person so I picked Miss Patty. She has some of the cutest doxie stuff ever in her DogBarks shop on etsy.

She made this cute pillow cover from one of mommy's ideas (but we all know the idea really came from me). Us doxies really don't like the rain or the flashy loud monsters in the sky. This pillow cover is pawfict for any doxie home.

Then, she makes these cute pj pants that are walking the dog style. These are our faves, too. Because, us doxies sure do like to go for walks and bye-bye trips. We don't even care if our humans are in their pjs or not. (Oh, and if she doesn't have any in your size she can custom make some.) Mommy sent her some old jeans and she doxiefied them for her. They were so cute and she wears them all the time.

This little art is something else she makes. She got Mommy started on drawing dachshunds and taught her a few things. (I am not sure how I feels about that. My photography modeling career has gone down hill since then, but that is a whole other story.) Her art is so cute and I love all the doxies in them. If only, mommy would let her do all the art....

I lost my train of thought for a moment. Sorry. These are the other doxie things she makes. These ones are the miniatures, but she does make bigger stuffed small pillow sized ones. Mommy likes these small ones cause they are awesome to hang from a rear view mirror in the car.

Miss Patty is a awesome pawsome human that pawmotes us all on twitter so much. She is a very sweet and spiritual human. She only has one down fall. She is kind of a cat person. Shhh! Don't tell the other doxies out there. Also, she has rodents as pets. (Not squirrels though- thank goodness.) I have been working my doxie mind control on her so maybe she will convert to doxieisum eventually. Oh, and for the cat peeps out there she has cat shops (
catcalls and MewMart) on etsy, too.

If you like any of the above items, please, have your human click them to see how to get one of your very own.

My interview with Velvet!

Hi all,
Sasha here. I had the opportunity to interview one of my favorite pals and a fellow hound, Velvet the beagle. She is the chief taste tester of CiaoHound's store on ETSY. It is currently closed until the weather cools down to ship homemade treats again. They will be reopening soon though from what I hear, and believe me it is worth the wait. Well, on with the interview!

Sasha- So Velvet, how did you get into being a taste tester for such a yummy treat company as CiaoHound?

Velvet- Well, Sasha, ya know, sometimes it just comes down to being in the right place at the right time. Mommy was looking for a fun hobby to do and came across some dog treat recipes. She tried one (I thought it was delish), but she thought it was a little bland. After about 5 more tries and many more ingredients, she had a cookie she was happy with. I, of course, sat there at her heels the entire time. It was very tiring, but I hung in there, taste-testing each and every batch.

Sasha- Well, how neat is that to be such a faithful company employee being there from the start and all. I bet it was such hard work too working from the floor up so to bark.
Is it hard to eat all the oops that sometimes happen? We know they happen, and some of those experimental flavors might be pretty arf-ful.

Velvet- I love the oops! None of them are arf-ful they just don't look like Mommy wanted them to, especially in the beginning. She played with this tube thing that squirted uncooked cookies and they frustrated her so much that she just went ahead and cooked them and gave them to me. Oh, hehehe, then there was the whole frosting incident! Too thick, too thin, try, try again. She eventually gave up and I got a lot of (what I thought were just wonderful) frosted cookies. Lately, the only oops' are the ends of the bistro bites which are sometimes pointy, so I get those. Oh, and sometimes I jump up on the table and get some of those special ones with catnip in them. Mommy has had to start over quite a few times because of that. She doesn't put the catnip treats on the table anymore. I don't know why they call it catnip. Why not dognip? Dogs would love it, too; I know I do.

Sasha- Those silly humans will never learn that us dogs don't care what the treat looks like. That is a human marketing strategy. We are all about taste and smell. Glad you racked up on the human's unsightly mistakes though. I wish I could have been there for that. The catnip creations must be yummy with the idea of nipping cats. heehee. Not that I would ever do that! (Just in case any kitties are reading this.)
Does your mommy and daddy ever sneak a taste now and then? We know humans would eat them to if you let them. I hear they eat anything.

Velvet- Mommy and my sisters taste the treats once in a while, especially the muffins, but Daddy won't touch the stuff! My sisters said they're healthy treats. I eat anything and everything, so I can understand the temptation.
Sasha- I hear you there. Anything from the doorknobs down is mine. heehee. Strange that your Daddy won't eat them though. He must be a finicky eater.
So what is your favorite treat from the CiaoHound shop?

Velvet- I love, love, love everything! I love the crumbrulee treats sprinkled on my kibble and the cookies and the bistro bites. I really love trying new recipes! I guess my absolute favorite is the Sweet Potato Pie. It has sweet potato, peanut butter and honey in it. You can't beat that!

Sasha- Now, you're making me hungry, and I just had my daily kibble ration a few minutes ago. Oh, and it really isn't the same with out something yummy topping it for sure.
How do you find the time to work out while still "STEAK-ing" out the fridge between batches? I mean I have had those treats. They go in the fridge, and I just can't wait till they come out again. It is all I think about.

Velvet- Oh, I know what you mean, ... hey, wait a minute, .... how did you get some of my treats????? {{{Groan}}} Mommy says its nice to share. I'm glad you love them as much as I do :) Mommy moves the treats around so much its hard for me to keep track of where they are, so I sit and dance in the middle of the kitchen (Mommy does know what that little dance means, she just plays dumb sometimes and it makes her laugh, so she gets distracted). I think she is sending a video of my "technique". Using this method, I can get my exercise and my treats at the same time.

Sasha- Well, Um, you see the treats came to me in this little square box from the mail, and well, I just had to eat them. But, my Mommy made me share with my big brother, too. Mommies they are no fun when it comes to all you can eat treats. Loved the video by the way. I will have to work on my Beagle dancing to keep in shape.
From one hound to another, isn't it really hard to see all those yummy treats go out the door to someone other doggy's bowl? Oh, I can only imagine how much restraint it must take not to bite the mail carrier for taking those treats away from you.

Velvet- I didn't fully understand what those little boxes were for until this interview. I just knew treats went in the box and then out the door. Mommy would come back and not bring the box with her. It is very sad. If it weren't for the treats that stay behind, I would tear up those bad boxes, I know where she keeps them. She is going to send a picture of me watching the whole "boxing" procedure. You can see by the look on my face that it is a horrible scene to witness. On a personal note, Mommy is wanting to start some new hobbies so she can make stuff in advance and be able to work on them out of the house sometimes; treats have always been fresh-baked with each order and she won't have time to do that for several months. BUT, if you like her treats (and I know you do) she'll be baking on the weekends and posting on her blog what's available that week, starting mid-September when the weather cools down. If you have any questions, just email her at ciaohound@live.com, and, here's her blog: http://ciao-hound.blogspot.com/. You can see pictures of the goodies there streaming by from Flickr. MMMM, slideshow of food.
Sasha- Oh, I thought you knew about where those boxes went. Opps, I didn't mean to spill the kibble on that one. Good thing you have the left overs, or those boxes would be toast for sure. I enjoyed the pictures that you sent, too. I can't wait to see what creations your Mommy will come up with next. Just as long as she doesn't forget about us poor starving pets that need those delicious mouth watering treats. Oh, how I wish I new Mommy's paypal password cause I would order me some right now I tell you.

Thank you Velvet for the interview and thank your mommy with kisses from me for typing it all up for you. We better keep those humans around cause our paws sure do get tired from all this typing. Plus, they know how to scratch those hard to reach places so nicely.

Velvet- Thank you so much, Sasha, for the interview, too. I don't think we hounds get listened to enough and you know we have a lot on our minds.

Pet Photo Contest and I gets in Big Trouble!

Hi all Sasha the cute and long little dachshund here. I just couldn't wait any longer to tell you all about the petsjubilee pet photo contest. Mommy and me are team members so we can't vote or be in it this go around, but there is already like ten cute and furry contestants. We need more. If you have an etsy account, then go petsjubilee blog for more details and to see the furbabies in the contest. (If you don't have an etsy account and want to sign up with etsy go to Etsy.com and sign up). Mommy and I came up with this idea, and we hopes to see lots of cute critter friends in the contest. Go pets! Oh, and don't forget the May samples boxes are available in the petsjubilee team etsy store starting May 1st. Your pets would want you to go to these links.

OK, now to the me getting in big trouble thing. Mommy and the grandparents took away my backyard and sprayed all this green foamy grass stuff on it. Well, mommy said no yard zoomies or pottying till the grass grows in and that could be weeks. Mommy thought she would get me to potty while walking on a leash in this rocky area, and I was saying no way to that. First of all the leash is for walks and car rides not for potty trips. It spoils the whole excitement of seeing the leash. Second, I am low to the ground pottying on rocks is like you guys wiping your bums with sandpaper. It ain't fun at all. So I staged a no pottying protest. And well, at some point you just can't hold it any longer, and well. You guesses it. I peed on the hallway carpet. I was grounded from the computer and given a big time out. After mommy was done being upset, we had a chat, and we came up with a compromise. She fixed an area on the side of the house with a baby gate attached to the fence so that I could have off leash potty time. It still has to be on rocks, but I gave up the comfort to have a little freedom. Well, off to look out the window and watch the grass grow. Paws crossed for magic grass seeds that grow very quickly.
